The growth in size and use of the World Wide Web services of the Internet is becoming rapid and explosive. Various individuals, business organization, non-profit organization, governmental agencies, educational / research institutions and media houses are embracing the web as a means to disseminate information, transact business and provide support to their customers

This growth is making it imperative for individuals and various organizations to have a presence on the web else they are ostracised from the “global village”. The implication of this is that there would be an increasing need for the services of skilled web developers, graphics artists, and web programmers who would all work together to deliver the contents of the web using state-of-the-art tools and technologies. 

It is however, a known fact that awareness and knowledge of web publishing is still at its lowest ebb in Nigeria. This training programme on Web Design / IT Expert would no doubt be a forum to bring the necessary awareness and raise skilful Web developers that can meet the current technological challenges in Nigeria.

The specific objectives of this training / workshop are:
(i)                  To educate individuals and organizations on Technological trends and how this trends affect their existence.
(ii)                To train web developers and expose them to various tools and technologies in Web publishing

(iii)               Graphic Artists: Artist and those who are into Desktop publishing.

(v)                Companies / Organizations: Companies / Organizations with web sites might need a web master who would be maintaining and updating their site. Training someone from the company might be a welcome alternative as it minimizes cost and preserve confidentiality.
